Calendar Run Off Vote

Because none of the calendar options for the 2010-2011 school year received a majority vote, there will be a runoff between Calendars A and B. Parent voting will start on February 3, 2010, around noon and will continue to noon on February 10. To vote, you will need your child(ren)’s student ID number.

Calendar A—This is the 2009-10 calendar rolled over to the 2010-2011 school year. The school year begins for students on Monday, August 23, has a five (5) day Thanksgiving break and an eleven day (11) winter break. The first semester ends on January 21st. The school year ends for students on Thursday, June 9th.

Calendar B—In this calendar option the school year begins for students on Thursday, August 5th. Calendar B has a three (3) day Thanksgiving break and an eleven (11) day winter break. The first semester ends on December 16th. The school year ends for students on Thursday, May 19th.

SAC MEETING CHANGED

The February SAC meeting date has been changed from February 9 to February 23, 2010.

Saturday Success

The next Saturday Success session is February 6, 2010. Improve your FCAT scores by attending Saturday Success on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. The program is held at Choctaw High School from 9 am until 11:30 am. and is open to all Okaloosa County high school students. Contact Elaine Carr Anderson at (850)833-5815 for more information.
